The Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses

Lady's and gentlemen. Boys and Girls. I am proud to present to you:

My new audio drama, the Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses!

Tonight's episode is: The Betrayal at Proxima Serpentis VI.

I should make quick mention that this episode does use some strong language. If at work, you may want to put head phones on.

**The video is no longer here.  I've moved it over here instead.**

Just a quick note, all: this is audio only; the title card is just a place holder.

**Update Below**

First of all, I've had a lot of new visitors to the site, and I like to welcome you all, new and old. You're always welcome to post a comment (I will read all of them), and I'm obviously not going to say no to new followers. I'm extremely excited about releasing the Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses, so having the sort of exposure is good. I also have to ask that you give me a little bit of time to figure things out. My default answer when approaching any new project - large or small - is hurl my self into the water with a resounding belly flop and hope for the best; while sometimes this works quite well, it can also result in things going the way I hope they should.

Next we get to the actual reason as to why I'm posting this. I figure that I shouldn't just drop my two-year project on everyone, shout "BEHOLD!" and then flip my cape over head and disappear in a puff of smoke. I wanted to use this opportunity to give everyone who may have questions and just hasn't had the time, or particularly felt like asking them. Hopefully this series will get me back into posting more frequently to better keep you guys entertained.

Since releasing the first episode, I've come to a lot of decisions on how I'm going to display and run the series. I think for now I'm going to stick to a two week schedule, putting up the new episode every other Thursday. I think for now, this will be the preferred schedule, but keep posted for new updates. If I feel that this is costing me viewership or if I get enough viewers, I may increase my rate to weekly (same day). The way that I'm currently writing the series is that I've broken it into "seasons" with ten episodes each, so an every second week schedule should provide me more time to work on the next season (the first season is already complete).

Each episode release will probably be followed up by at least some form of answers to listener/reader questions. I think I'm going to make this the Wednesday before the release of the next episode, so if I don't immediately get to your questions, don't worry. Chances are am I'm compiling them for this segment. This will (hopefully) be in the format of a podcast that I put up, but depending on time and quantity of the questions, it might just be a post. I'm also looking at doing a bit of commentary on the technical and writing aspects of the episode at the start of the Q&A section, but this is pretty much just brownie points at this point. I'm fairly certain that not everyone is a creative process nerd like my self (I love listening to LoadingReadyRun LRRcasts and watching the 4th Panel over at Penny-Arcade).

I'm also looking at releasing just the MP3 for purchase. This is a bit trickier, as I have to figure how best to sell it. While I've considered iTunes, I don't have Mac OSx so I have to go through an aggregate, most of which aren't set up to release something of this size (damn you and your "cool kid" mentality Apple). I've also looked at releasing it as a podcast on iTunes, but the site is really confusing on how this is done, and I was already extremely frustrated at the time I was doing research, so I just gave up. Rest assured, this will happen. Somehow. Stay tuned to find out more; I'll definitely update you all once I know the answer to this.

Finally, the question of social media keeps popping up in the back of my mind. I am a misanthrope (mostly). I hate social media. With a passion. That being said, I think I'm going to finally have to break down and join the early twenty-goddmaned-first century. Soon, I should have a twitter account visible, as well as a few other forms. I'm debating weather or not I want to create a Facebook account for boundcompass studios, or just use my own. For now it's just my own, but again, stay tuned.

Apparently, when I said that I came to a lot of decisions, I actually meant that I decided one or two things and am still desperately thrashing about in my Muppet Babies kiddie pool. Awesome. As you've probably noticed, the recurring theme of this post is, "Stay tunned." So, y'know... stay tunned.

By the way, I have a new series. It's called The Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses. The first episode, the Betrayal at Proxima Serpentis VI, is above. You should probably check it out if you haven't already.

BEHOLD!

Um... poof.
