The Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses - Episode 04 - The Artifact From Beyond

Tonight's episode is: The Artifact From Beyond.  In which our heroes heroically hawk a priceless alien artifact they stole.  Thrilling.  And a new menace emerges from the shadows to... menace the crew of the Cabalina.

Okay, full disclosure.  I like voicing a girl.  While I'm sharing, I would take it hard from the exit only if it was coming from either Edward James Olmos or Tim Curry.  If this were high school, this is where someone would snicker at me and  mockingly say, "gay."  Thankfully, I'm secure enough in my manhood to not let that get under my skin.  So, y'know... I am rubber, you are glue.  Everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.  Neener, neener.

A Newbie Moment

Okay, I'm probably going have a few of these in the next few months.  I promise to keep them as minimal as possible, but in the meantime bear with me.   Point is because we share the same composer (badass Bradley Rains, bestest musician in the world), LoadingReadyRun used a miniscule - miniscule - clip from The Amazing Adventures soundtrack.  *Squeeee*

I know this is an incredibly small victory, and in no way does it really mean anything.  No, I take that back.  It means they were digging around for a clip of dramatic music, asked Bradley, and he was like, "here."  Doesn't matter.  Don't care.  At this point I do have to take small victories, like hitting 1200 views today.  Or noticing the fact that I have five consistent viewers that I'm sure are not related to me.  Or that I know have a wiki on Audio-Drama.com - and no, it doesn't matter that I was the one who created it.

Okay, I'm done now.  Switching gears, I'm still working on adding another show to the blog.  Not that I particularly need to make my life more busy, but I figure that it won't hurt to have an extra show around for entertainment's sake.  The current concept is game of Mutants & Masterminds (second edition) that I'm hopefully going to be GM'ing for a friend sometime soon come hell or high water.  I just need to figure out the process of recording over Skype, as for some reason I can't get Mixcraft 5 to capture his end of the conversation.  Any recommendations on that would be more than useful.

There will be action, drama, tears, laughter, and chances are good that there will be a time-traveling Marmeset with a jet pack and a gun that makes the player characters violently vomit.  Look for that along with other shows to hopefully come soon (more realistically in the off season of The Amazing Adventures).

The Amazing Adventures of Captain Farr Novarider and the Wild Horses - Episode 03 - The Marauding Horses

Tonight's episode is The Marauding Horses!  In which our heroes must seize a cargo of unfathomable treasure in the face of an elite corps of Royal Confederated soldiers.  One of our heroes will die... probably.  Okay, not really, but your watching now, so the hook works.

This was one of the first episodes that I realized that I would need to do a major rewrite.  While some of the current relationships were there, the jokes just weren't clicking. Originally, Cartwright was very ambiguously

Just a Nerdy Aside

Okay, for those of you who don't know: Mechwarrior Online is a thing.  It is an awesome thing as any Battletech fan can tell you.  Every time I jump onto this game's site, I immediately begin simmering in my pure joy for this series' triumphant return to the PC, and of this series finally getting a loving touch - much unlike the brutalization it received with Mechwarrior 4 (oh, that's right, I have plans for you Mechwarrior 4, dark and sinister pans; and don't think you're getting away clean either Harmony Gold).
While I certainly love the clack of the dice, the careful analyzation of an ever developing situation and implementation of tactics, and calculation of distance in hexes; I also love viewing the world from my modified CPLT-K2 Catapult, rapidly switching systems, carefully monitoring my heat, and the satisfying way an enemy 'Mech collapses to the ground.  In short, I can't wait for this game to release.  Now if I can just get my computer up to spec...
